Safety & Reporting

How to flag a problem, and what happens next.

Last updated: 6 October 2026

Reporting content

Most content on BUZA — questions, replies, articles, profiles, Room messages, tools, services and topics — has a Report button. When you report something, you choose a reason and can add details. Reports can be filed anonymously as far as the reported person is concerned: they are not told who reported them.

What happens after a report

  • Your report is recorded as a moderation case, with a severity based on what you described and automated safety rules.
  • A moderator or administrator — a person — reviews it. Reports are not judged by an algorithm alone.
  • Outcomes include removing or hiding content, muting or removing someone from a Room, disabling a tool or listing, restricting or suspending an account, or dismissing the report if it isn't a violation.
  • Serious matters are escalated to administrators and, where relevant, documented in an internal audit log.
  • Reporting in bad faith (mass or false reports to silence people) is itself a violation of the Community Guidelines.

Staying safe in Rooms

  • Private Rooms are closed spaces: their content is visible only to their members, enforced on the server. What's said in a private Room stays among its members and BUZA staff.
  • Room owners can mute or ban disruptive members, and can require join approval or invite codes so only intended people get in.
  • Room owners and moderators can remove messages and manage files in their own Rooms.
  • Don't share personal details — address, school, ID number, financial information — in public Rooms or chat.

Urgent concerns

If something involves an immediate risk to someone's safety — threats, self-harm, a crime in progress, or the exploitation of a child — please contact the South African Police Service (10111) or the appropriate emergency service first. Then tell us at samkelondlovu366@gmail.com or 071 667 9927 so BUZA can act on the platform side too.

Services, payments and scams

Service listings on BUZA are posted by members; BUZA doesn't process those payments and can't guarantee a member's service. Never pay upfront for something you're unsure of, keep records of what was agreed, and report anything that smells like a scam. BUZA membership is different — it's a one-off payment processed by Stripe, our payment processor.
